**Rule update - SoCal Swordfish Shootout 

The requirement to photograph your chartplotter or GPS position has been removed. It is no longer a requirement. 

Catch documentation for every fish presented at the scale: 

1. Lines In - video of your lines entering the water at the start of that day 

2. Hook-up - one continuous video at hook-up showing the loaded rod, with a team member clearly saying the boat name, date and time 

3. Catch - photo or video of the fish aboard, within five minutes of it coming aboard.

Fishing Dates: November 1-30, 2026: each team declares any five days in the month and fishes them on its own schedule

Registration: Registration closes October 31, 2026

Captains Meeting: October 26, 2026 @6pm at the Marlin Club

Entry Fee: $500 per team -up to five anglers per boat

Jackpots: Optional $100 jackpots (High Points, Biggest Fish and Most Fish in a Day)

Awards Celebration: Date and time to be announced.
