  • 6:00 pm. Captain’s Meeting at The Marlin Club, 2445 Shelter Island Drive, San Diego, CA

Friday: June 6th 2025

  • 5:30 pm. Final Registration at The Marlin Club, 2445 Shelter Island Drive, San Diego, CA

Saturday: June 7th 2025

  • 2:00 am. Lines In.

  • 6:00 pm. Lines Out.

  • 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Weigh Station is open located at The Marlin Club, 2445 Shelter Island Drive, San Diego, CA. (All fish must be brought for official weighing to The Marlin Club in the boat they were caught, by water only)

Sunday: June 8th 2025

  • 1:00pm – 3:30 pm. Awards celebration at The Marlin Club, 2445 Shelter Island Drive, San Diego, CA. A meal is provided to participants as part of Tournament Entry, also available to purchase for non-participants.

Dear Anglers -

The 22nd Annual Spring Shootout is now in the books. The event was a success with 19 boats and over 60 anglers on the water in competition for the title!   A huge thanks to all of our incredible sponsors for making it happen year after year!

First Place in the Tuna Division was Josh Tudor with a Bluefin weighing in at 140.8lbs. on team Tres Burros and also winning the largest fish jackpot of $2310 along with a New Makaira 50 II speed and other prizes.

Team Tres Burros won the high boat jackpot with a combined 3 tuna weight of 387.8lbs scoring them $1750. Second Place in the Tuna Division went to Jeff Tadder on the Tres Burros with a highly respectable 131.4lbs Bluefin Tuna and Third Place was rounded out by a 115.6lbs.Bluefin Tuna caught by Chris Logan also aboard Tres Burros.

In the Yellowtail Division it was team Cat-Fish who came away with the top fish at 28.6lbs caught by Steve Methey. Second place in the Yellowtail division was Heather von Quilich of the Dysfunctional Fishing Family with a 27.6 pounder.  Rounding out the Yellowtail division in third place was Brett St. Cyr aboard the El Nino weighing in a 27.4 pound Yellow.

We appreciate all who participated as these tournaments provide very important support to the club!
