From
the Bridge Congratulations to the crew of the FEVER! New member Rob Pennell guided his crew of four to victory in our annual SPRING SHOOTOUT! Not only did the FEVER catch the Largest Fish in the tournament ,they also took 3 of the top 5 prizes in the Yellowtail ,White Sea Bass division. Congratulations also to Charlie Been aboard the GREEN BEEN who landed a 22lb. White Sea Bass to take 3rd place. Rounding out the top 5 was Marcus Hale aboard OLD BLUE who scored a Yellow off a patty late at the 181 spot and just made the weigh in by 5 minutes! The Halibut Jackpot was won by Harold Weimer on the SIDEKICK and 2nd place went to Walt Moss on the KRYPTONITE. Next up the annual Don Blackman Memorial halibut tournament. For information on this and all of our tournaments visit our web site at www.themarlinclub.com . Chris Lahr and Michael Bingham are organizing the event and can always use volunteers to help with the many aspects of organizing an event of this magnitude. So give them a call and get involved on any level! DISAPPEARING ACT.. Longfinus Disapearus. With no Albacore caught in the spring shootout for the first time in the events three year history many are asking what happened? No one knows for sure however the latest reports have another small body of fish moving in from 160 miles down. Best regards, |
