Hey guys:  This morning, while checking the Balboa Angling Club fish line, the LEGEND out of Seaforth had 7 albacore at 180 degrees 110 miles. Spots of breaking fish, and had to run on several batches before they found the biters. This report is close to the area where the private yachts got into fish on their way to Guadulupe. Anyone want to burn a ton of fuel and puts some Tuna Clones out for a 2001 albie? ~Hoose

The Legend reported half a dozen Albacore tuna from a 2 day trip and reportedly they came from within one day range , I have heard reports that they may have come from as close as the 302 area . I would hold judgement on that until we hear more . Hopefully the weather is good this week and us private boaters can get out there and try to catch some and get the 2001 fishing season off to a roaring start . The Albacore were average size of 15-20 lbs which would indicate the begging of the migration pattern , the one to two year olds. I will post more on the find as we get more information this week.
