2. Dave announced the Board of Directors for 2001.

3. Dave thanked the outgoing Directors.

4. Jim Konzal reviewed minutes from last years meeting and they were entered into the record.

5. Jim gave a financial report and indicated we were in the black. The financial report was entered in the record.

6. Dave announced 4 new perpetual trophies:
    1. The most Marlin on Bait - the Chuck Gillam Trophy
    2. The largest Albacore - the Dave Verdugo Trophy
    3. The largest Dorado - the Michael Berry Trophy
    4. The largest marlin on a fly - the Baja on the Fly Trophy

7. Dave raised the issue of low attendance of the I.L.T.T. and whether we should have the tournament. While no one volunteered to organize it, everyone agreed we should have it. There was discussion that it should be later in the year, as it is scheduled this year. Last year conflicted with other tournaments. This years dates are Friday 9/21 & Saturday 9/22. The board will look at possibly making it even later in the year and moving it to the weekend.

8. April 14th is the Marlin Club clean-up day. Check in with Wayne Slahor so he can organize who does what.

9. April 29th is Open House and we will have a booth at Point Loma's Day at the Docks.

10. The Halibut Tournament is May 19th.

11. Book your yearbook ads early.

12. Membership - if dues have not been paid by March 31 (as dictated by the by-laws) the new computer software will drop you from the mailing list (but not from the computer entirely.

13. By the end of April, we should be able to accept: Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express cards for dues and tournaments.

14. Phil Hoffman commented on the long line effort. Not much has changed since the last meeting.

15. A question arose regarding the Waterfront Development issue.... Dave indicated there was no new activity. If someone does not renew their lease, the port puts the site up for RFP.

16. Marty pointed out the 'Boat of the Month' new feature in the Gaffline. Asked for submissions.

17. Meeting was adjourned at 7:45.
