September 10, 2000
Fishing was extremely slow for the San Diego Offshore Invitational Tag & Release Tournament, and only two marlin were tagged and released, none with the special archival pop-up satellite tags. The T-Rose with Capt. David Thompson tagged and released a marlin caught by Fred Weston on Friday, and the Mil-So-Mar, with Capt. Rich Hamilton, tagged and released a marlin caught by Troy Fitzgerald, grandson of the late owner of the boat, Ed Fitzgerald.
