Marlin Club ILTT Results - 9/25/00
1st-Chip Langdon-MARLIN MAN
2nd-Bob Woodard Jr-CHRISTINA LYNN
Two fish were caught off Clemente during the ILTT. Chip Langdon on the "Marlin Man" and Bob Woodard, Jr. on the "Christina Lynn." Both fish were released. Bob's was a drop-back bait fish and Chip's was a jig fish. Chip released his fish faster - therefore, "Marlin Man" won first place. Same crew won 1st place last year on the "Culligan Man." Most of the action took place about 4-7 miles off the dome. Both "Alfresco III" and "50-50" broke off fish in the same general area....... Marty Morris

This year makes the 41st year, and the oldest and longest running Billfish Tournament held on the West Coast.

Schedule of Events:   Captains Meeting - Thursday, September 21st, 6:00pm - Southwestern Yacht Club
                                    Fishing Hours, Friday September 22nd & Saturday September 23rd; 6:00am to 5:00pm
                                    Awards Dinner, Sunday September 24th, 6:30pm at the Marlin Club

Boats may depart and return from any port in the 50 Mile Limit, but each team must have a representative, from the team, at the Captains meeting. Weight slips or release slips must be at the Marlin Club by 7:00pm on Saturday September 23rd. Slips may be Faxed. Official release slips will be available at the Captains Meeting and are dated 1999! Please disregard the dates on the release forms.

Awards: There are no individual awards - only boat and team awards. There will be No Large/Small boat divisions - just an option for boats under 35' to fish 3 on a boat (as opposed to 4 on the larger boats). Only one fish per angler per day - either taken or released.

2nd		4 (or 3) Shimano 30 2-speed reels
3rd		4 (or 3) Shimano 20 2-speed reels
4th		4 (or 3) Shimano 20's
5th		4 (or 3) Shimano 15's

Maxima Line and Fisherman's' Landing will provide one free reel filling, 700 yards maximum, for the first 50 entrants.
